Here is what to do if the content or layout (style) of your mocoVoice transcripts or meeting notes does not look right.
What this page covers
- Speaker separation fails (speakers are mixed up or cut off unnaturally)
- Punctuation and line breaks in the transcript look unnatural
- Items in the generated meeting notes (agendas, decisions, etc.) are not extracted properly
- The output structure does not match the meeting notes template you selected
What this page does not cover
- Screen layout issues (misplaced buttons, overlapping text, etc.)
- Web page loading errors or delays
If your transcript style breaks
Check the following if you have issues with the transcript content or speaker separation accuracy.
1. Check the original audio quality
The accuracy of our AI speech recognition and speaker separation depends heavily on your original audio quality.
- Noise and BGM: Loud background noise or music can reduce accuracy and disrupt speaker separation.
- Overlapping voices: If multiple people talk over each other frequently, their speech may mix together, making it hard to identify the speaker.
- Echo and reverb: Highly reverberant audio can also affect accuracy.
- Speech clarity: Speaking too fast, talking quietly, or mumbling makes recognition more difficult.
Try to provide the clearest audio possible. If needed, apply noise reduction to your file before trying the transcription again.
2. Check the language settings
Make sure the language you selected for transcription matches the language spoken in your audio file. For example, if you select English for a Japanese recording (or vice versa), the transcription will fail. If the audio contains multiple languages, you must select all applicable languages. To learn how to check or change your language settings, see Start a Transcription.
3. Consider manual editing
AI processing has its limits. It may not perfectly separate speakers or transcribe text in complex conversations or noisy environments.
- Correcting speaker names: If the speaker separation is inaccurate, manually fix it using the Edit Speaker Names feature.
- Correcting text: Fix recognition errors, weird punctuation, or odd line breaks using the Edit Transcript feature.
If your meeting notes style breaks
Check the following if the content or structure of your automated meeting notes has issues.
1. Check and edit the original transcript
Meeting notes are generated directly from the original transcript. If the transcript itself is flawed (poor speaker separation or inaccurate text), the resulting meeting notes will also suffer.
First, refer to the “If your transcript style breaks” section above to review and fix the transcript as needed. Setting the correct participant names in Edit Speaker Names is an effective way to improve your meeting notes.
2. Check your meeting notes template
Make sure you selected a meeting notes template that fits your meeting’s content and purpose. For example, if you select the “Q&A Template” for an open brainstorming session, it may fail to extract information properly and produce sparse notes.
If you used the wrong template, select a better one (like the “General Purpose Template”) and generate the meeting notes again. For details on what each template does, see Create Meeting Notes.
3. [Custom Templates] Check your formatting
If you use a custom template, check the contents of your registered template file (.md or .txt).
If the instructions (placeholders or writing rules) in your template are incorrect, the meeting notes will not generate as expected.
To learn how to format custom templates, read Customize Meeting Notes Templates.
4. AI limitations and manual editing
Because meeting notes are generated by AI, the extraction and summarization will not always be perfect. Always review your generated meeting notes. If you find missing information or mistakes, edit them directly on the editing screen.
If the problem persists
If the steps above do not solve the issue, please contact us via Customer Support with the following details:
