Share by email address
Share files and folders with specific recipients without inviting them to your team.
Share a file or folder
- Open the file or folder’s sharing settings.
- Choose who can view it: all team members and selected recipients, selected recipients and team administrators, or the same people as the parent folder.
- For individual sharing, enter the recipient’s email address, optionally set an expiry date, and select Share.
The parent-folder option is only available when a parent exists. Inherited recipients are managed in the source folder. Switching to the parent folder’s settings removes individually added recipients after confirmation.
Open shared content
Open the file or folder from the notification email and sign in to mocoVoice with the recipient email address. If you do not have an account, register with that address.
Shared files use the same viewer as regular files, with audio, transcripts, minutes, transcript translations, minutes translations, and attachments. Individual sharing is view-only: recipients cannot edit, generate content, or upload files.
Sharing does not provide access to conversation analysis or unshared files.
The sender and team members can also use the same link if they currently have permission to view the file or folder. Their existing team permissions remain unchanged.
Forwarding a link does not grant access to another account. The team’s IP address restrictions also apply to recipients.
Allow or stop sharing for the team
Team administrators can turn email sharing on or off in team settings.
To enable it, select Turn on in the confirmation dialog. Then use the people-shaped sharing settings icon on a file or folder to add recipients. Turning the feature on does not automatically share content.
Sharing is off by default. Teams with active shares when this setting is introduced remain enabled so that existing access continues.
Turning it off removes all individual file and folder shares in the team and prevents new shares. Individual access inherited from parent folders also stops.
Turning sharing back on does not restore removed shares. Add the recipients again to resume sharing.
Files and folders are not deleted. Team members retain their existing viewing permissions.
