Check and Change Organization Roles

Organization roles determine what users can do on the organization management screen. Assign each user one of three roles: Organization Admin, Organization Viewer, or Organization User.

RoleView organization informationManage the organization, including inviting members and changing or removing usersView team informationManage team settings and members
Organization AdminYesYesAll teams in the organizationYes
Organization ViewerYesNoTeams they belong to onlyNo
Organization UserNoNoNoNo

Organization Viewers can only see information for teams they belong to. Organization Users do not see the menu that opens the organization management screen.

File access, editing, and transcription permissions are determined by the user’s team role in each team, not by their organization role.

Manage organizational titles

On the organization management screen, you can set an “Organizational Title” for each user. Examples include “Sales Director” or “HR Manager”.

The “Organization Role” determines what a user can do on the management screen. The “Organizational Title” provides role and position context for Analyze Conversations (Beta) and suggested speaker names.

The organizational title is used in teams where the user does not have a specific team title. If a user has different roles in different teams, setting a team title in Edit Team Roles will override the organizational title for that team.

On the user editing screen, you can update both the organization role and the organizational title at the same time. If a user already has team titles set, you can choose to reset specific teams to use the organizational title instead.
