Use MCP integration

MCP integration lets AI tools such as Codex and Claude Desktop use your mocoVoice meeting data, dictionaries, and formats. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a common way for AI tools to read and write data in external services.

For example, if you ask your AI tool “What did we decide in last week’s regular meeting?”, the AI searches your mocoVoice meetings and answers using their summaries and transcripts.

What you can do

AI tools can use only the data you can see when you open mocoVoice with your own account.

  • Meetings: search meetings, get summaries, get transcripts

  • Dictionaries: view the list and contents of dictionaries, add words and replacement rules

  • Meeting note formats: view the list and contents of formats, create new formats, import Word / Excel files

  • Only meetings whose transcription has completed are included. In teams that use the approval flow, only approved meetings are included.

  • Only members with the Admin role or Editor role can add to dictionaries or create formats. Members with the Submitter or Viewer role can only view them.

Steps

1. A team administrator allows MCP integration

MCP integration is unavailable until an administrator allows it for each team. First, a member with the Admin role does the following.

  1. Open Team Settings from the left menu and scroll down to Integration.
  2. Under MCP integration, turn on Allow MCP integration for this team.

The same MCP integration setting also appears in About you, which you open from the person icon at the bottom left. Personal accounts use this one.

Members who are not administrators do not see the switch. In teams where it is not allowed yet, the message “MCP integration is unavailable until a team administrator enables it.” is shown. Ask your team administrator to allow it.

2. Open the MCP connections page

Once allowed, Open MCP connection management appears under MCP integration, in either Team Settings or About you. Click it to open the MCP connections page.

The MCP endpoint at the top of the page is the URL you set in your AI tool.

3. Create a connection

  1. Click Create MCP connection.
  2. Enter a name that shows which AI tool and computer the connection is for. For example: Codex (dev PC)
  3. Click Create.

4. Copy and store the token

After you create a connection, the Save your MCP token screen opens. Click Copy MCP token and store it in a secure place such as a password manager.

Note

The token is shown only on this screen. There is no way to see it again after you close it. If you did not store it, create a new connection.

The token is a key that accesses mocoVoice with your account. Do not paste it into chats, emails, or shared documents.

5. Set it up in your AI tool

Register the following two items in your AI tool’s MCP settings.

  • Endpoint URL: the MCP endpoint shown on the MCP connections page. https://api.mocomoco.ai/mcp
  • Authorization header: set Authorization to Bearer, a space, and the token you copied in step 4.

For Codex, copy the Codex setup example on the token screen and run it in your terminal.

codex mcp add mocovoice --url https://api.mocomoco.ai/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer mcpv1_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

For other AI tools, register the endpoint URL and the authorization header in that tool’s MCP server settings. See each tool’s documentation for how.

Check or revoke connections

Connections you create appear in the list on the MCP connections page. Only connections you created are listed.

  • Expiration date: a connection is valid for 90 days after it is created. When it expires, create a new connection and replace the setting in your AI tool.
  • Last used: the last time an AI tool used this connection. Use it to check for unexpected use.
  • Revoke: for a connection you no longer use, or whose token may have leaked, click the trash icon on the right and then Revoke. A revoked connection cannot be restored.

When connections stop working

Existing connections stop working immediately in the following cases.

  • A team administrator turns off Allow MCP integration for this team (turning it back on makes unexpired connections usable again)
  • The member who created the connection leaves the team
  • The connection expires or is revoked

If your organization restricts access by IP address, the same restriction applies to MCP integration.
